The resident data scientist at Our Community's Innovation Lab, Dr Paola Oliva-Altamirano, spoke at the YOW! Data conference in Melbourne earlier this year about the evolution of CLASSIEfier, a tool developed to classify grants automatically without human intervention. She also discussed other recent data-related developments at Our Community.

In the video above, Dr Oliva-Altamirano explains how CLASSIEfier evolved naturally following the creation and implementation of CLASSIE - Australia's first unified taxonomy to classify funding, using datasets pulled from the grants management software SmartyGrants.
